Our Skinny Mini is 9 weeks!

Sweet E or Skinny Mini...or more like Kenny Mini when I talk babytalk, is now nine weeks. Time is just flying! I have found her rolled over in her crib two times this week. Also this week I packed up more newborn clothes. Everyone comments on how small she is, but she has grown so much. I started crying looking at her hospital picture. I can't believe how fast she will grow up. I can't imagine all the joys ahead!

I realized today I really need to update our profile and header on our blog. All of this will wait for a while. Every free moment we have is spent with Sweet E. If she is gone with her daddy I use that time to try to maintain some sort of cleanliness is our home and stay on top of homework. It seems this semester is all about projects...some of which have included making homemade instruments, puppets, and colorsheets!

These weekly updates may be a little boring to some of you, but I need them! I haven't had any time to write anything in E's baby book. Hopefully one day I can look through our blog archives and get it all filled in.

Here are a few pictures of Miss E this week. We hope you all are well! Thank the good Lord for your blessings. We thank him for Kenny Mini everyday!

We're already embarrassing....

poor E! As you may remember I wrote about the Max Headroom/Kenaye West sunglasses. Well here they are in our little Target fashion shoot and also here is our sweet girl looking rather embarassed at only two weeks old! Am I the only person who forgets about cellphone cameras?

8 weeks already!

Here are a few quick shots of Sweet E. She is now 8 weeks old and will have her two month doctor's visit next week. She's such a sweet girl. She's had a few new experiences in the last week. Last Wednesday she started daycare part time. Her teacher's name is Ms. Rose. We couldn't have asked for a nicer lady. Her Gimme works right next door and she gets to come feed and rock her sometimes. We are all thankful for that! We also got out her playmat for the first time. I started her out by laying on her on her back and she did enjoy looking at herself in the mirror for a few minutes, but quickly was uninterested. So a few days later I laid it out fir tummy time. She was just a playin'. I sat a rattle and a little crinkle book in front of her too. I walked down the hall to get something out of the bedroom. When I came back I found the little fart (as my Mamaw would say) had scooted off the playmat, off the area rug and was about to hit the hardwood. She's a fast little stinker! I didn't know she could do that! Also, she's found a favorite spot in her crib...at the top all the way in the corner! Everything is just rolling right along at the House of Mack...we hope it's going just as well for your house.

E's first beach trip

Last weekend we went to Destin to celebrate my MIL's birthday. We shopped at the outlets and had dinner at the Back Porch. Who knew you had to pack so much for a little one?
I love the outlets, but hate that they only have ONE bathroom! We were all the way done at the Polo outlet when E had a teetee diaper. So I took her into the dressing room and changed her. Literally a minute after I put her back in the stroller she was crying again (this girl doesn't cry for nothing)...so I realized now we have a stinky diaper! I picked her back up and take her back to the dressing room...people are staring at me the whole time. What you never seen a screaming baby before? When I get to the dressing room I realize there is poo soaking through her pretty little smocked outfit...ick! Bad thing is I only carried her little changing kit into the dressing room...so out she comes in only a diaper. I had an extra outfit in my diaper bag so that was ok. We stuffed the pretty little outfit in a Gap bag we emptied and off we go. We get to the Back Porch and once again she is crying out of control. We pick her up out of her carrier and poo is once again leaking...now in her carrier. We take her out to the car to change her diaper...all I can think is...I have no more outfits...all we bought her was a pair of pants today!! Then it hit me...her Gimme had bought her a little fish onesie...thank goodness! So the next outfit was placed in the Gap bag...along with a makeshift wipe (a blanket). We found out the men had used all of the wipes except one! This was much more than a one wipe mess. Now we're down to one diaper (I packed six) and a pair of pants and we haven't had dinner yet! Needless to say, I was flustered! I hate being unprepared!
Dinner went off without a hitch and we even stepped out on the beach for a few minutes to let E dip her toes in. The ride home was a different story. We had a completely worn out baby girl, who wailed most of the way home. We won't be making that long of a day trip for a while, but all in all the day was great!
Oh yeah! A big yay for OxiClean Max Force for getting all the poo out!
