Little words...lots of pictures

Heelarious crib boots from my great friend Monica. They really are "heelarious". I laughed and laughed at E with these on...notice the heart shaped spurs! They are available at http://www.heelarious.com/

Three Pees for Me!
Tomorrow Sweet E will be three months old, so today we took her for three month photos. We are using Amy Nichols as our photographer. When I got E up this morning she was in a great mood, except for a little congestion. She was all smiles!
We got to the studio and fed her right before our session began. We decided to start with some sweet necked (yes, I know it's not spelled that way, but that's the way we say it) photos. She is really getting too big to lay still on her belly and show that sweet tooshie. She was trying to scoot everywhere. We placed her on this cushion covered with fabric. Uh oh, she tee teed on the fabric. Ms. Amy was great...no worries. So we moved on...I wanted some mommy & baby shots with her. She was still naked and I thought they would look cute with my silk (or some sort of silky material) shirt. We leaned her this way and that way, up close, all sorts of different angles. Uh oh, tee tee again! No worries again! Then I get a little spit up on my silky shirt and then on top of it some more tee tee! My shirt is soaked by the time we were done! Then I worry that we didn't get a shot of us together. Ms. Amy says not to worry that PhotoShop works magic. Then B gets his daddy/daughter photos...no messes what so ever! Was my sweet girl trying to communicate something to me? If so, I haven't a clue!
Then we move on to family photos, but more importantly a DIAPER! Luckily I had a change of clothes for our family photo (I wonder what the people at the drycleaners will think of the "silky" shirt???). We put her in the sweetest little blue petticoat and headband with a flower. She looked so adorable you could just eat her up! Our next issue were the hands. Sweet E is in the beginning stages of teething (so I think) and all she wants to do is naugh those hands. I loved the poses Amy put us in. Hopefully we will have lots to choose from soon!!

Two month check up
at 11 weeks
Sweet E weighed 8 lbs 6 oz, 22 1/2 inches long. She's only gained one pound since birth! I was very worried when I heard that, but Dr. B assured me that she is perfectly healthy. She was in the 10th percentile at her one month checkup and the same this time and in the 50th percentile for length.
She is now eating 4.5 oz of formula (Enfamil Lipil) every three hours. I nurse her in the evenings and anytime she wakes up during the night. I am so thankful that is she is able to do both. I love to nurse her. It's such a sweet bond that only a mother and child can share.
We think she has gained a pound since last week! She is getting little rolls on her legs and arms. She even has a belly!!
Everything is going great at daycare aka "school". Her school is a wonderful little place. I have never gone in to see any of the babies unhappy. That makes a mommy's heart smile!
Heading to the doctor for shots. She did great with the shots, but really hated the two hour long visit in the office. Know any good doctors relocating? We need more in our county!

My birthday gift
September 1st was my birthday. Yay! It was Tuesday which meant no school! We enjoyed a delicious dinner at my ILs. I got to choose the menu...yum! fresh peas, hash brown casserole and ham. Of course no birthday is complete without a delicious cake from Sugar Rush! I got an awesome glider for our living room. It is beautiful and I have really enjoyed rocking Sweet E to sleep in it each night. I think she really likes it too! Here are a few shots of us enjoying it together.

Don't ever take for granted...
anything. Sometimes when E is screaming her head off, especially her first few weeks when I didn't know what she wanted or how to fix it I would honestly think to myself...What have we done? I don't know if we're ready to be parents. Then I would think there are so many people who would love to have a child or others who would love for the only thing wrong with their baby is crying. I would just pray for wisdom and thank the Lord for E's health. This same scene has happened over and over again at our house. My thoughts really hit home with the tragic death of the two year old Ramer twins. I stumbled across their family blog this morning as I waited in our condo for Sweet E to wake up. I cried and cried for this mother and father. It drove home the point even more for me to never take anyone or anything for granted. This sweet mother has a strong relationship with the Lord and has found unknown strength in him. You can read their blog at The Ramers . I strongly encourage you to do so. Everyone can benefit from her writing. She even says the devil pulled those little angels into the water, but he's not winning. At the memorial four souls were saved.

10 weeks...just a playin'
We've been just a playin' this week. E tried her Bumbo for the first time and really likes it. Thanks for the sweet gift Ms. Lynne! Also, she's played on her playmat batting at the cute toys. We've played with her lovey that we've named Baby Love (in the picture above). I made up a little song to the tune of The Supremes hit of the same name. I have also found her rolled over in her crib two mornings. We are going to Atlanta this weekend to get a piece of farm equipment. This will be the third state our little traveler has been in and she's not even two months!
